Willies Fundraisers

At Roadside Willies, we believe that partnering with local grassroots organizations enhances our ability to make a positive impact on our neighborhood. We are asked several times a day for contributions by way of sponsorships, gift cards, money and free food. We feel badly that we do not have the resources to say yes to every request, and it is very difficult to decide who we should give to and who we need to turn down. To help mitigate this problem, we created the Willies Fundraisers initiative. This program is designed as a win-win for all parties, with direct and indirect benefits going to local charities, our current and future customers, the community-at-large and Roadside Willies. But why, you ask, should Roadside Willies benefit too? It's quite simple, really. In order to be in a position to help anyone, we need to earn a profit first. The term "profit" is equivalent to the paycheque you receive from your employer. And, just like you, we have bills to pay so we can't afford to work for free either!

Club Willies, our signature community support program, gives registered charities an opportunity to raise a significant amount of funds for their operations. Here's how it works. Club Willies electronic payment cards are issued in sets of 500 with a retail value of $10 each. The charity’s logo is included on the cards for greater exposure. Cards are sold to the charity’s network of supporters, many of whom are already loyal Roadside Willies customers. Each newly activated card earns an immediate 50% cash rebate payable to the charity. Club Willies purchasers get to spend their cards at Roadside Willies while helping their favorite charity in a big way. There are no restrictions as to when the cards can be used and there is no expiry date. But here’s the best part. When a purchaser reloads their Club Willies card, the charity will receive a 5% cash rebate. This creates an opportunity for building an ongoing revenue stream with no additional work. The more cards the charity sells, the greater the potential for developing a meaningful and sustainable funding source. The Club Willies initiative is one of the most generous charitable donation programs ever offered in the local hospitality industry. It’s a win-win for everyone. Although the short-term benefit to Roadside Willies is virtually nil due to the program’s generous charitable rebate, the potential long-term benefit of attracting new and repeat customers is significant. Not ready yet to jump aboard our flagship Club Willies program? Host a Roadside Community Night fundraiser (minimum 40 people) and we'll reward your charity with 20% of food sales from customers who share your values. It's as easy as picking a Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday evening in any month except December, reworking the flyer we email to you and then inviting your friends, family, co-workers and neighbors to come out and eat. There are no upfront costs, selling or soliciting …and everyone has to eat! This is one of the easiest fundraisers that you'll ever do.
